Funny Stuff

I love to listen to children talk. I mean really listen. Those AT&T commercials with the kids sitting around talking are the best. Kids really do say the darndest things! My daughter started talking early so we’ve heard a lot of gems in her 3 ½ years already. She certainly keeps us entertained. Here are a few of my favorites from my not-so-little-anymore lady…

Me and my little lady
Me and my little lady

One hot day this summer, she came up to me with her 2-piece bathing suit in her hand and asked, “Can you help me put on my zucchini, please?”

Our favorite time to play outside is after eating dinner. One night, after coming in from playing, it was a little dark in the house and she said, “I can’t hear you! It’s too dark!”

For some reason, she calls bras, “boobies.” At the beach one day last summer, a girl in a bikini walked by us and she yelled out, “Look Mama! Boobies!!”

On that note…more recently, while bra shopping, she announced to me, “When I’m 5, I’ll wear boobies too!”

Always being silly!
Always being silly!

Coloring with her one day, she looked up at me and said “Mama, you’re the best Mama.”

We were heading out the door recently, to my company’s summer outing, and I asked her if she was ready to have some fun. Her reply, “Yes, I can’t wait! Are you going to blog about it?”

Silly kids!
Silly kids!

I can’t wait till my little man starts talking so we can hear all the funny things he has to say, too! Have any funny quotes from your kids you want to share? I’d love to hear them!

  1. A couple of years ago me and a couple of friends took my son to the Red Sox as an early birthday present. He got the staple bag of peanuts that one gets a at a baseball game. At one point during the game he dropped the bag and some of the peanuts fell out, and not knowing what he was saying he yelled…”AH!! My nuts!!!” It was funny to us and everyone one around. Of course now, at almost 14, he knows why it was so funny. Gotta love those kids 🙂

  2. my 3 boys are 25,19,17. But I remember when my oldest was little one day we were all in the pool swiming and he said mommy mommy I have to go to the bathroom again to do #2, I said “again?” what happend, he replied “it happend at school too and my teacher said that I must be black toes incolorant” he meant to say lactose intolerant…. we laughed for a long time.
